The Problem
Spiders are found commonly throughout North America. There are several species that are commonly found in homes in Canada but only one indigenous to Ontario that might pose a health risk is The Black Widow. Rarely fatal, but cause painful bites.
Spiders feed on other insects and are generally thought of as beneficial. But in numbers can be a nuisance. Inside spiders are found year round, but are most prevalent during the warmer months.
Some house spiders lay up to 50 eggs per sac cause the population to rise quickly.
