The Problem
There are several varieties of wasps including the Yellow Jacket, Hornet and Paper Wasps found in much of the Northern Hemisphere.
It is a social insect, which builds its grey paper nest in voids or under ledges, often even using abandoned mammal holes as a start for the site, which is then enlarged by the workers. The queen may also select a hollow tree, wall cavity, or any convenient crack and crevice for a nest site.
